    Only one family can live in a villa: DM

    DUBAI — In what could come as a major blow to the many families with limited income, especially families of expatriates, the Dubai Municipality has stated that only one family can live in a villa.

    Officials of the Building Inspection Department of the civic body said that they have already launched a crackdown on those villas which housed more than one family.

    New Library in Dubai

    Dubai - New library is unveiled


    Dubai - Dubai Municipality yesterday opened a new dhs10.4 million library in Al Towar. Mohammed Jassim Al Eraidi, head of Public Libraries Section at the municipality, said the new building, the seventh library in the city, covers 2,300 square metres and contains nearly 18,000 books.

    YellowDVD - UAE's first DVD Commercial Directory

    Received the YellowDVD in the snail mail last week. The letter included explains this new concept in yellow pages, which if actually seen logically is the most obvious progression in the evolution of the printed Yellow Pages. Just imagine lunging around with the big printed Yellow Pages directory in your bag!
    Now I wonder how long it would take Al Wahda Express (UAE's official Yellow Pages in collaboration with Etisalat) to come out with a DVD version. The YellowDVD has roped in Dubai Municipality...so looks like it is set to dominate Dubai. With Etisalat now charging for its 180 directory phone service, YellowDVD might just about pull it off!
