After application for new work visa:
1) 2 weeks - required for labour approval from application date
2) After paying the bank guarantee, labour fee and other fees you can get the Visa from DNRD within 2 days after labour approval.
3) After getting work visa from DNRD, go for status change if the person in emirates on visit visa- will not take more than one hour or day.
4) Go for "Medical" (test) after status change and one can get the report in 3 days easily.
5) After getting the "Medical" (test) done, you can go for visa stamping - will require only one day.
6) Along with visa stamping, you apply in post for Labour Card and Labour agreement - will require only one day if the salary is above 4k and if below then u need to wait till 14 working days to get this in post from labour department.
Note: Above listing is only for Dubai work visa processing.

hi, i m on Dubai residence visa(housewife not allowed to work) sponsored by my husband. Recently i got a job in Siemens LTD in dubai and after joining, the company applied for labour card but they told me to not to join the work till they get approval from labour ministry .so i m at home since 3 weeks now. I joined on 6th dec 2011 and was asked to not to come to work from 17.12.2011 and so far no approval from the ministry.when i call up the HR ,they say they are waiting for approval for Labour Ministry. let me know if so much time is taken for this procedure. The company has not applied for employment visa; its just the work permit. I have submitted all documents like attested degree certificate and NOC by Husband , my passport copies and Visa, along with my husband's Visa and passport copies and have filled certain forms which the company asked to fill in .plz let me know.

My husband has got an offer to work in dubai and i intend on joining him in dubai as early as possible. Since, you have also just moved recently, had a few queries on the visa timelines based on your experience
- In how many days after your husband submitting the attested degree etc to his employer , did he get his visa?
- After how many days was he able to sponsor you? When did you get to Dubai?
- Hope you have got your work visa now
- Whats the job market like? Approx how much time of job hunting did u get an offer.
I know most of the events are subjective, but an approximate basis your experience will be helpful

Hi, am presently in UAE, my working visa was applied by my company on June 19th, 2015 3weeks later, i saw in the system that my labour card was out already. With this labor card,how long more do i need to wait for this visa itself to be out? pls reply
Hi I was offered a job in a management position. My pro then requested for my university degree and unfortunately I have not completed yet so My pro then reapplied in a lower position. Will there be any reason that my employment visa will be denied?

My passport due date is on April 2016. My passport renewal is on process it will take 1 month.
It is possible to process my labor card permit? I have offer letter of my company and receipt of my renewal passport.
The labor will allow me to get my employment visa?
