    Ministry of Labour - New Toll Free Helpline - 800 665

    With the construction blitzkrieg happening in Dubai, there are bound to be labour problems. Good of the Ministry of Labour to start a helpline.....hmm..looks like this is more for the companies...there was also a toll free for labour...






    ...in tandem with the above post, I am posting the low res scan of the booklet for UAE Labour printed last year...the toll free for labour is 800 9119.

    Hello Sir/Madam, I have a concerned and I hope you can advice me what to do and help us to have an equal RIGHTS..My concern is about me and my co-worker.. As I am new here I don't know what's the rules and regulations here but I'm still searching and asking advice on behalf of my innocent as new here I supposed to gathered information regarding this matter. Besides, before I was came here we signed from our employer a contract, it says their our basic salary will be 1500 + free food allowance 300 + accommodation,laundry and transportation...after a month he will give the salary of 2000..Our concern Everything in the shop like not more costumer as we know its new open for 3 months only.. He will force us to reach the quota of' more than 1000 each per day... If not he angry us.. even we out even closing time less 10mins. Before closed hour he get angry... but if we sometimes come early at work and almost out overtime... He don't angry ..that's not fair... because we work more time here Sunday to Wednesday 10am-10pm, and Thursday to Saturday 10am-11pm... without OVer Time Pay... and NO DAY OFF... Our employer using our innocence.Sometimes he told us if we quit this job or want to cancel he will frighten us and scared us.. He said he will go the Embassy to make us blacklist and letting us pay soluble for all his expenses.. as new here we quite nervous because we don't have money for that charges he mention that's why we cannot stop our work here because he scared us.. He will not be fair to us we need Equal rights and if we are giving a chance to find and look another company, we transfer as far as we can with your help. PLEASE advice us what to do and if we quit the job we're just only 3months here in this case happen to us is there any exceptions or a little understanding not to face labour ban or any payment? What do we do? I'm weak of thinking..PLEASE Helped Us! Advice Us before we go complaint against them.. we scared we know nothing about rules and maybe he make us problem...that's why we help Legally advice to be proper and legal if we cancel or terminate the work contract.

    Our boss sometimes showing his good to us...and pay it back to him by working and doing our job as we can.. He always deprove me for about the shop but he knows it is his obligation... we're just only a staff he told us don't have right to reason out...

    Do you think he is really good to us? Our probation is finish we cannot back out is there any options to avoid labour ban? And how about the payment How true it is he told us if we cancel this job we pay to him doulble for all his expenses... what we do? Do we continued working here same as what we have face now... No Day off, No overtime pay and NO proper accommodation laundry and so on..

    Hi sir just need some clarify I receive the offer letter on 17 Feb 2016 and I have given the resignation on 15 August 2016 but company asking me to give the notice period of one month when I ask the current company I am still in probation period then the human resources told me u are close of probation period but as law I have 2 days remain for probation and have not received the any paper for human resources which are state u have finish the six month and instead saying you can go to minstry labour and check it could you please help me out are this is right information

    This is shoaib saleem . I came October 2015 on visit visa UAE . I apply job for post of optical fiber technician in Eoss company ( EMIRATES OFFICE SYSTEMS & SUPPLIES - ABU DHABI).i received interview call I clear interview.they took all my required documents.they given me offer letter. They promise me to go back home country we will send you employment visa.
    I stay touch with them every time they say wait we will process your visa.
    After 7 month they refuse to give me visa. They wasted my time and lot of money. I belong to poor family.

    Hmm.I greet u all.I came on direct employment as a friend looked the job for me since am a holder of a diplom in teaching and first degree in IR to be a private teacher(tutor)to six kids with my boss's wife.I was supposed to only teach English language to them and was told I had off days with other allowances but sincerely it was a lie.am now the house aid doing all stuffs with no off days nor over time pay.starting time 5:30am tii all house duties are finish.please I am six n half months and I want to know if am suppose to pay him all the expenses on my visa eventhough I have read through Labour law article 120/121 and it only starts I summit a month notice resignation letter.my email= banyehvirginia03@yahoo.com

    Hi! I need your advice for my situation. I stock here at my agent house she take me from my agency. the reason I Dont like to work as being housemaid I've got two employer already for two months but suddenly they are not good so I decided to back out.agency will buy me ticket going back to Philippines but my agent take me from agency she told me just try once.but I do not like.she said she will pay my agency amount of 10.000 dirham's.I ask her to work outside then I will pay it back how much she expend..now I'm not holding my passport how can I get a job without passport.just only I have copy...need your advice call to my number# 05222-59246

    Any roule if company owner said if any empoly want resign he have to pay visa expenses back to company and he said he paid 7000AED for visa. if i will cancel visa most pay 50% charge according to labour law of uae.

    Please sir can u tell what can i do for cancellation of visa and how much i pay them?
